Barna's cafe and restaurant

I dined here with three friends, and we're all serious foodies. We ordered two full chicken fried rice portions, and they were more than enough for all of us. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and fantastic service!

I visited Barna’s Restaurant twice, and overall, the experience was good. The atmosphere and interior were quite nice, creating a pleasant dining environment. Service was efficient, with food arriving within 10–15 minutes, which is relatively fast. The mocktails, cappuccino, soup and submarines were flavorful and enjoyable. However, the cheese kottu, while decent in taste, was not warm when served. The biggest disappointment was the chicken deviled in the fried rice—it had an unpleasant taste. Cleanliness was another concern. While the tabletops were cleaned, the floor and some chairs had visible food crumbs and sauce stains, which took away from the overall experience. Barna’s has potential with its ambiance and quick service, but improvements in food quality and cleanliness are needed.

We had a good experience overall with a wide range of options available. The food was well presented and very tasty, although the fries could have been much bigger in portion size. However, I had to reduce the number of stars because one of our drinks was completely forgotten and, when it was finally brought, it was the wrong order. By then, we had already finished our meal. As we were getting late and the restaurant was very crowded at the time, we decided not to push the matter.Despite these issues, I would still visit again and give it another go because the food is totally worth a second try.

I recently dined at Barnas Cafe and Restaurant in Anuradhapura, and it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to unwind. The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, and the food quality was generally good. The staff were friendly, though service could be a bit faster during peak hours. The restaurant’s cleanliness and overall ambiance were commendable. It’s a nice choice for a casual meal in Anuradhapura.

We ordered vegetable fried rice and a vegetable cheese koththu and they were fantastic. The environment is also perfect and the customer service also can give 10/10. I highly recommend this place.
